EF your statement on February 27 is the reason for the shortfall, many places in the country consider 90K rich so your
Democrats will always tax NY because they too consider us rich. Tax, tax and more tax. That museum is hosting that
exhibit and therefore must never get public funds. The political support which you site are all Democrats (no surprise)
so can we deduce that Democrats are anti-law enforcement for supporting such an exhibit.
If we just enforce our immigration laws we can save billions, people have to realize they must enter this country the same
way our ancestors came LEGALLY.
As far as paying taxes and getting nothing in return just take a look at our parks and playgrounds as compared to a
minority neighborhood. Our kids have nowhere to go in the evening, no lighted fields or basketball courts. Your fellow
Democrat Meeks gets the funds for Jamaica but never Charles Park. Winer Weiner is too busy trying to run for Mayor
and worrying about events in Israel then new Howard. The City council members have all but forgotten Howard Beach
and Ozone Park..
EF you support the party responsible for our high taxes, the party responsible for our high gas prices and then you
complain about lack of service when all the Democrats do is allocate more and more entitlements for minorities which will
only get much worse if they win in November. MC

CBC... In 1989 the so-called artist was denounced by then President Bush for a disgraceful American Flag burning
exhibit entitled "What is the proper way to display a U.S. Flag. Any Museum who displays this so-called artist should
never be funded by taxpayer money and should have to forfeit their grants. I would like to create an exhibit
entitled "The proper way to display this so-called artist" Maybe I will call Joe Addabbo's office to see if the
City Council will fun my "artistic excellence and creative freedom without censure"

MC, according to the Daily News article on this museum exhibit, it gets 68k in funding from the state and
city. That money may or may not fund this particular exhibit, which by the way before you jump all over me,
is an exhibit I don't support. However, that 68k is a mere pittance compared to the shortfall between what
New Yorkers send to the feds and what we get back. While it doesn't pertain to NYC, another good example
of that shortfall can be found in today's Newsday. Seems Nassau & Suffolk spent 24.5 million to house
illegal aliens convicted of crimes. The State Criminal Alien Assistance Program obligates the federal
government to pay to house illegal aliens convicted of 1 felony or 2 misdemeanors. Nassau & Suffolk got only
4.35 million reimbursed. I'm pretty sure the dollar ratio would be similar for the money NYC is not
getting for the illegal aliens we're paying to houseat Riker's that the feds should be paying for.
The following are the sources of funding for the museum: It gets Government Support from the National Endowmentfor
the Arts,New York City Department of Cultural Affairs, and NewYork State Council for the Arts
It gets Foundation Support from BAC Ford Foundation Regrant, BAC JPMorganChase Regrant, Edler Hawkins
Foundation, City Parks Foundation, New York Foundationfor the Arts, The Starfish Group, The M&T Charitable
Foundation, The New York Community Trust, and UnionSquare Awards
It gets Corporate Support from JPMorganChase Foundation, Target Foundation, Independence CommunityFoundation,
Health Plus, and Forest City Ratner.
It's Political Support ( probably the source of the 68k as discretionary funding) comes from The City
Council Brooklyn Delegation, Councilwoman Tracy Boyland, Assemblyman N. Nick Perry, Assemblyman
William F. Boyland, Jr., State Senator Velmannette Montgomery, State Senator Kevin Parker, State Senator
Carl Andrews, Department of Youth & Community Development , Senator John L. Sampson, Assemblyman Hakeem
Jeffries and Assemblywoman Annette M. Robinson.

CBC...Anti-Cop exhibit opens in a taxpayer funded Brooklyn Museum of Contemporary African Arts. Yes you read it
correctly. This from the Daily News:
"A cop-bashing art exhibit at a taxpayer-funded museum in Brooklyn portrays the city's Finest as trigger-happy racists
who have put bull's-eyes on the backs of black New Yorkers.
Police abuse victims, including African immigrant Amadou Diallo, are depicted as shooting targets in the "The Blue Wall
of Violence" exhibit at The Museum of Contemporary African Diasporan Arts.
Nearby, a machine attached to three police batons creates a bracing thud as each of the clubs repeatedly bashes
against a wooden stand just below the targets."
The exhibition is called "The Blue Wall of Violence"
The Museum if you can call it that receives $68,000 a year grant from the city and state. We pay our taxes so the city
and state can fund garbage like this, well I have had it and I want to send a message to our city and state elected
officials that we will not stand for this any longer. We will attempt to organize a protest of this so called Museum, if you
are interested in joining us please email us, we need as many people as possible.
Why don't the city and state stop funding this kind of garbage and increase the starting salary for the cops.
Adding more insult, area schools which we also fund are taking field trips the see the exhibit "so the young can learn the
truth"
The problem in black neighborhoods is not "The Blue Wall of Violence" but the Black Wall of Violence, that is what they
should teach the young so they can avoid falling into the same lifestyle!

guy he was arguing with had a gun. Interesting to see how the different newspapers put their slant on the trial. NY1 has
as their headline Witness Testifies Police Paused While Shooting At Sean Bell but when reading the article they never
state how long this "pause" was. A second? A minute? The Post headline is BELL HAD FIGHT BEFORE SHOOTING
WITNESSES SAW VICTIM ARGUE WITH MAN THEY BELIEVED HAD A GUN. Obviously they have two different agenda's

CBC.....The most important number coming out of the Sean Bell trial is not the number of shots but the time it took for
the cops to shoot 50 times. Somewhere between 9 and 12 seconds for the one cop to shoot 31 times. In a life or death
situation those 10 seconds happen in a blink of an eye. This was nothing more then a terrible accident and NOT
criminal, put yourself in the cops shoes and think about what you would do. There might have been some official
protocol broken but nothing criminal. Remember this entire shoot out took only seconds, in addition none of these cops
fired their service revolver in all their years of service. These cops put their life on the line everyday for us and we pray
for them and their families.
Reading yesterday's article in the Daily News they made that stripper out o be a nun, she was to meet one of the
shooting victims that night then claimed after the Sean Bell shooting a cop approached her and invited her on a date in
order to get a collar for prostitution. How ridiculous.

My point is that people in NY pay more to the feds and get less. Therefore other people in other cities and states are

One clear example of the effect of our money going elsewhere in recent years are Homeland Security funds from the
feds. I don't think NYC has gotten what we need or deserve, A result is that the city has to dip into city funds to provide
the security stuff the feds aren't paying for. That means less city services for other things for NYC people that the

CBC...Sharpton turning up the rhetoric prior to the start of the Bell trial. Bell's finance to be the first witness, she was not
at the scene. Sharpton and racist councilman Charles Baron held a prayer vigil and protest outside courthouse. Baron
called the cops murderers and encouraged blacks to take justice into their own hands if they don't get justice. What ever
happened to innocent until proven guilty, and this racist piece of garbage sits on the city council passing laws for the

This newspaper thing has gotten more publicity than the Halloween attack. Who cares if they are shouting each other
out they are competition for each other this has been going on for years with everything not just journalism. What our
politicians, business people, and local leaders should be more concerned with is lighting a fire under DA Brown's behind
with this Halloween case. No one is doubting the good of what some of our business people do especially any clergy
members, but no one wanted to speak out when those boys were attacked in fear of looking racist. When another race
is attacked especially if it happens in Howard Beach everyone speaks out black, white, Spanish, but when white boys are
attacked it's kept quiet. Our race is being taken advantage of. The Democrats only care about other races they do not
care about white people they hate Catholics and sympathize with Muslems the same religion that speaks of killing others
to reach their religious paradise. Why should we suffer for other races we worked hard to make our community what it is
and we should not have to allow people to come in and ruin it no matter what race, color or religion. We would be
fighting just as hard if the boys had been attacked by white thugs from a different area or from this area for that matter.
The fact is we just want our streets to be safe for the children and for everyone else. If Nick Minucci was punished for his
crimes it should be that way for others this double standard, one sided liberal attitude has to stop before something God
forbid worse happens one day.

Most people in any community consider their local clergy of all faith traditions to be among the
community's leaders. In my opinion, a clergyman who opened his doors to our youth of all faiths is a
community leader by any measure.
Angelo, Father Joe, and Frank were right on target in the Forum. Angelo should go after the Courier's
advertising. Their article placed him in danger, caused his family distress, and will hurt his business.
The silence from the Republican Party, the Conservative Party, the Independence Party etc

would have spoken out condemning the Halloween attacks on our youth and the irresponsible reporting by

Forest Park yesterday and also passed Charles Park and didn't get a sled. I wonder why. RR

Yes MC the headline was "businessman, Community Leaders Slam Irresponsible report," The businessman
was Angelo Mugnolo whose charitable efforts make him a community leader as well as a business leader in
this
community. Father Gibino, the spiritual leader of the OLG faith community, who has, proverbially, put his
money where his mouth is by providing space for a youth center is one community leader quoted in that
article. The other community leader quoted was Frank Galluscio who has served the community in many
capacities, not just politically. All three men made comments that were right on target about the
gratuitous Courier Sun article. Angelo is not a disgrace to our community. Father Joe is not a

You forgot to mention two more accomplishments we made CBC, we exposed our local politicians for what they are self

need in November. In return they will receive the endorsement of the Queens Democrats in future elections. The fix was

Halloween attacks since Thanksgiving and they claim to serve this community. Their silence along with our local
politicians speaks volumes about who they are and where they are coming from.
Obama speaks of change but he doesn't specify what kind of change, well I think the change our community needs is
out with the old boys club and their back room deals and bring in fresh people with new ideas and who's only ambition is
the betterment of our community. This current regime has been in power for decades and our community and all of

CBC........Lets take a look at what was accomplished, we wanted hate crimes we didn't get it. We had positive
ID's by eyewitnesses on the assailants and the investigation is still ongoing. There is still about 40
participants involved in the attack walking the streets. On the positive side the charges have not been
dropped and our voices have been heard as evident by the lawyers remarks in the article. I think our
biggest accomplishment has been the fact the 5 arrested and hopefully the 40 others now know they picked
the wrong neighborhood on Halloween and at the very least I don't think they will return to HB to commit
crimes in the future. I wish the DNA request got some media attention and hopefully one of our local
politicians or the DA's office will hold a press conference to update the public on the investigation and let
everyone know that this community will no longer sit back silently while we are victimized by crime. Getting
that message out to the general public will act as a deterrent to future predators thinking about coming to
Howard Beach to commit crimes, hopefully the 45 individuals involved in this case are spreading the word
to stay out of HB if you are thinking about committing a crime. Thanks to everyone for caring enough about
our community and participating in this forum, our voice is getting louder as more and more people visit
this page, we even have visitors from the House of Representatives in Washington nearly every day. As AS
stated we have taken a step forward.

entitled "The proper way to display this so-called artist" Maybe I will call Joe Addabbo's office to see if the
City Council will fun my "artistic excellence and creative freedom without censure"

MC, according to the Daily News article on this museum exhibit, it gets 68k in funding from the state and
city. That money may or may not fund this particular exhibit, which by the way before you jump all over me,
is an exhibit I don't support. However, that 68k is a mere pittance compared to the shortfall between what
New Yorkers send to the feds and what we get back. While it doesn't pertain to NYC, another good example
of that shortfall can be found in today's Newsday. Seems Nassau & Suffolk spent 24.5 million to house
illegal aliens convicted of crimes. The State Criminal Alien Assistance Program obligates the federal
government to pay to house illegal aliens convicted of 1 felony or 2 misdemeanors. Nassau & Suffolk got only
4.35 million reimbursed. I'm pretty sure the dollar ratio would be similar for the money NYC is not
getting for the illegal aliens we're paying to houseat Riker's that the feds should be paying for.
The following are the sources of funding for the museum: It gets Government Support from the National Endowmentfor
the Arts,New York City Department of Cultural Affairs, and NewYork State Council for the Arts
It gets Foundation Support from BAC Ford Foundation Regrant, BAC JPMorganChase Regrant, Edler Hawkins
Foundation, City Parks Foundation, New York Foundationfor the Arts, The Starfish Group, The M&T Charitable

The Museum if you can call it that receives $68,000 a year grant from the city and state. We pay our taxes so the city
and state can fund garbage like this, well I have had it and I want to send a message to our city and state elected
officials that we will not stand for this any longer. We will attempt to organize a protest of this so called Museum, if you
are interested in joining us please email us, we need as many people as possible.
Why don't the city and state stop funding this kind of garbage and increase the starting salary for the cops.

CBC.....The most important number coming out of the Sean Bell trial is not the number of shots but the time it took for
the cops to shoot 50 times. Somewhere between 9 and 12 seconds for the one cop to shoot 31 times. In a life or death
situation those 10 seconds happen in a blink of an eye. This was nothing more then a terrible accident and NOT
criminal, put yourself in the cops shoes and think about what you would do. There might have been some official
protocol broken but nothing criminal. Remember this entire shoot out took only seconds, in addition none of these cops
fired their service revolver in all their years of service. These cops put their life on the line everyday for us and we pray
for them and their families.
Reading yesterday's article in the Daily News they made that stripper out o be a nun, she was to meet one of the
shooting victims that night then claimed after the Sean Bell shooting a cop approached her and invited her on a date in
order to get a collar for prostitution. How ridiculous.

My point is that people in NY pay more to the feds and get less. Therefore other people in other cities and states are

One clear example of the effect of our money going elsewhere in recent years are Homeland Security funds from the
feds. I don't think NYC has gotten what we need or deserve, A result is that the city has to dip into city funds to provide

This newspaper thing has gotten more publicity than the Halloween attack. Who cares if they are shouting each other
out they are competition for each other this has been going on for years with everything not just journalism. What our
politicians, business people, and local leaders should be more concerned with is lighting a fire under DA Brown's behind
with this Halloween case. No one is doubting the good of what some of our business people do especially any clergy
members, but no one wanted to speak out when those boys were attacked in fear of looking racist. When another race
is attacked especially if it happens in Howard Beach everyone speaks out black, white, Spanish, but when white boys are
attacked it's kept quiet. Our race is being taken advantage of. The Democrats only care about other races they do not
care about white people they hate Catholics and sympathize with Muslems the same religion that speaks of killing others
to reach their religious paradise. Why should we suffer for other races we worked hard to make our community what it is
and we should not have to allow people to come in and ruin it no matter what race, color or religion. We would be
fighting just as hard if the boys had been attacked by white thugs from a different area or from this area for that matter.
The fact is we just want our streets to be safe for the children and for everyone else. If Nick Minucci was punished for his

Most people in any community consider their local clergy of all faith traditions to be among the
community's leaders. In my opinion, a clergyman who opened his doors to our youth of all faiths is a
community leader by any measure.

You forgot to mention two more accomplishments we made CBC, we exposed our local politicians for what they are self

Obama speaks of change but he doesn't specify what kind of change, well I think the change our community needs is
out with the old boys club and their back room deals and bring in fresh people with new ideas and who's only ambition is
the betterment of our community. This current regime has been in power for decades and our community and all of

CBC........Lets take a look at what was accomplished, we wanted hate crimes we didn't get it. We had positive
ID's by eyewitnesses on the assailants and the investigation is still ongoing. There is still about 40
participants involved in the attack walking the streets. On the positive side the charges have not been
dropped and our voices have been heard as evident by the lawyers remarks in the article. I think our
biggest accomplishment has been the fact the 5 arrested and hopefully the 40 others now know they picked
the wrong neighborhood on Halloween and at the very least I don't think they will return to HB to commit
crimes in the future. I wish the DNA request got some media attention and hopefully one of our local
politicians or the DA's office will hold a press conference to update the public on the investigation and let
everyone know that this community will no longer sit back silently while we are victimized by crime. Getting
that message out to the general public will act as a deterrent to future predators thinking about coming to
Howard Beach to commit crimes, hopefully the 45 individuals involved in this case are spreading the word
to stay out of HB if you are thinking about committing a crime. Thanks to everyone for caring enough about
our community and participating in this forum, our voice is getting louder as more and more people visit
this page, we even have visitors from the House of Representatives in Washington nearly every day. As AS
stated we have taken a step forward.

CBC....Forgot to mention last week Audrey Pheffer opposed Bloomberg's Congestion Tax. Keep up the fight and Thank
you. There is an article in todays Post that London is raising it's congestion tax to $50.00 for gas guzzlers. We have
discussed the issue at length in the past, it will only hurt the middle and lower class by increasing cost of goods not to
mention a visit to the city.
