CBC......So tied of hearing about this anti-US sentiment spreading across Europe. How quickly they forget, if it
weren't for the US they would be all speaking German. This is the most generous nation ever on the face of the
earth, whenever there is a catastrophe we send money, supplies, troops and whatever is needed to help the
citizens of any country. Where were our European friends during Katrina, nowhere to be found. I guess they no
longer teach their young about WWII and all of our dead soldiers on their soil who died fighting for freedom.
Today's Europe makes deals with terrorist nations behind our backs in order to make a buck all the while stating
how much the hate America. All we keep hearing from our politicians is how much everybody hates us and we
have to be liked, they remind me of little children. The Europeans are the ones who should be ashamed not us,
the next time they come crawling for aid or when radical Islamic fundamentalist seek to destroy them (which they
will) maybe we should think twice. They are ones who should worry if we like them not the other way around. Now
it's our turn to start an anti-European sentiment until they can once again prove their friendship to us.

CBC.......We received a complaint regarding the Super Bowl celebration photos posted last weekend. It seems that
in some of the photos the revelers were in the right lane of Crossbay Blvd. obstructing traffic and this person
objected. Those photos were taken around 11 PM when traffic was light and most of the traffic were themselves
revelers, this person should complain when the meter maids obstruct traffic up and down Crossbay Blvd. at 5:00
PM on a weekday causing traffic jams to Liberty Avenue. Then again empty heads make the most noise. This
person has no idea what HB is all about.

CBC.......They offer big tax breaks to keep companies from moving out of the city while their employees cause
more congestion, makes no sense. By definition cities are congested and NY has been for as long as I can
remember. People come to the city to work and enjoy themselves and shouldn't be taxed for doing so. It is going to
hurt the economy and cause prices to increase even more locally. The congestion itself reduces the number of
people going to the city so it is helping the environment. Remember what Yogi said " no one goes there anymore
because it's too crowded." The same hold true for the city. The pollution and ozone levels are less now then in the
sixties so the environmental issue is BS, they are jumping on the environment just to find new ways of taxation. If it
does work and less people visit the city doesn't that mean less revenue for business and less revenue for the city
in spite of the tax. Remember they are not up grading mass transit to accommodate for additional volume.

slowing down there is no need to bail out people who should never have qualified for a house. Another aspect of
the bail out which is never discussed is that these mortgages are brought and sold on a secondary market, what
happens to the person who purchased one of these adjustable rate mortgages and the Government freezes
interest rates. It's a dangerous. You may own a CD yielding 5% and Government could step in and say thats too
high and it should yield 3%, what then?

The plastic bag recycling law does not require that we
recycle them. It requires large stores to make it
possible for us to recycle them. The new law applies
to stores that use plastic bags and occupy 5,000 or
more square feet or have more than five outlets in New
York City. The new law will require those kinds of
stores to provide an easily accessible collection bin
for plastic bags in visible locations. The law does
not say we can’t continue to put bags in our regular
garbage.
It would be convenient if all of us could place our
plastic bags in with the other plastics in our
recycling garbage instead of in the regular garbage.
This option was explored by the city and it was found
to be not practical at this time. The company that
processes the metal, glass and plastic we all recycle
now has said that if thousands of plastic bags were
required to be added to the household recycling
program it would be impossible to separate them from
the other recyclable material causing the other
recyclable materials to be contaminated and less
marketable or not marketable at all. At the present
time there is no automated process to separate out
plastic bags from the other recyclables. That is also
the reason that we don’t recycle all the other
plastics besides bottles and jug types. That’s why
there is still lots of plastic that is possible to
recycle that still goes in our regular garbage. The
hope is that in the next five to ten years an
automated process can be developed to accomplish this
task. At the present time it is not practical and
would be cost prohibitive to collect, sort and recycle
plastic bags through the current residential
collection system. If at some time in the future
plastic carryout bags and other plastics can be
processed in the City’s recycling stream then the law
could be changed to reflect that fact. SP

CBC....Last month we conducted a poll on the mortgage crisis, the poll was as follows: should taxpayers have pay
to bailout homeowners in order to stop foreclosures. The poll was overwhelmingly in favor of no bailout yet Audrey
Pheffer along with 2 other assembly members co-signed legislation for a 150 million dollar bailout according to the
Chronicle. This is a slap in the face to the very people she represents.
People who took an adjustable rate mortgage when the mortgage rate was at 30 year lows don't deserve to be
bailed out, the only reason they took an adjustable rate was because they didn't qualify for a conventional
mortgage and now they want taxpayers to pay for their mistake. Some were duped by unscrupulous mortgage
brokers but that number is low and if you are buying a home it is your responsibility to know your monthly
payments and if you can afford that house. It is not governments responsibility. The state can use that 150 million
more wisely. According to the Chronicle St Albans and the surrounding areas are ground zero for the crisis.

in some of the photos the revelers were in the right lane of Crossbay Blvd. obstructing traffic and this person

revelers, this person should complain when the meter maids obstruct traffic up and down Crossbay Blvd. at 5:00
PM on a weekday causing traffic jams to Liberty Avenue. Then again empty heads make the most noise. This

more congestion, makes no sense. By definition cities are congested and NY has been for as long as I can
remember. People come to the city to work and enjoy themselves and shouldn't be taxed for doing so. It is going to
hurt the economy and cause prices to increase even more locally. The congestion itself reduces the number of
people going to the city so it is helping the environment. Remember what Yogi said " no one goes there anymore
because it's too crowded." The same hold true for the city. The pollution and ozone levels are less now then in the
sixties so the environmental issue is BS, they are jumping on the environment just to find new ways of taxation. If it
does work and less people visit the city doesn't that mean less revenue for business and less revenue for the city
in spite of the tax. Remember they are not up grading mass transit to accommodate for additional volume.

happens to the person who purchased one of these adjustable rate mortgages and the Government freezes
interest rates. It's a dangerous. You may own a CD yielding 5% and Government could step in and say thats too

The plastic bag recycling law does not require that we
recycle them. It requires large stores to make it
possible for us to recycle them. The new law applies
to stores that use plastic bags and occupy 5,000 or
more square feet or have more than five outlets in New
York City. The new law will require those kinds of
stores to provide an easily accessible collection bin
for plastic bags in visible locations. The law does
not say we can’t continue to put bags in our regular
garbage.
It would be convenient if all of us could place our
plastic bags in with the other plastics in our
recycling garbage instead of in the regular garbage.
This option was explored by the city and it was found
to be not practical at this time. The company that
processes the metal, glass and plastic we all recycle
now has said that if thousands of plastic bags were
required to be added to the household recycling
program it would be impossible to separate them from
the other recyclable material causing the other
recyclable materials to be contaminated and less
marketable or not marketable at all. At the present
time there is no automated process to separate out
plastic bags from the other recyclables. That is also
the reason that we don’t recycle all the other
plastics besides bottles and jug types. That’s why
there is still lots of plastic that is possible to
recycle that still goes in our regular garbage. The
hope is that in the next five to ten years an
automated process can be developed to accomplish this
task. At the present time it is not practical and
would be cost prohibitive to collect, sort and recycle
plastic bags through the current residential
collection system. If at some time in the future
plastic carryout bags and other plastics can be
processed in the City’s recycling stream then the law
could be changed to reflect that fact. SP

the answer to LP's question let us know. If the store can recycle why can't we just add them to our household

suck up CO2 a greenhouse gas which contributes to global warming. Next will be a tax on plastic bags, wait and

CBC....Last month we conducted a poll on the mortgage crisis, the poll was as follows: should taxpayers have pay
to bailout homeowners in order to stop foreclosures. The poll was overwhelmingly in favor of no bailout yet Audrey
Pheffer along with 2 other assembly members co-signed legislation for a 150 million dollar bailout according to the
Chronicle. This is a slap in the face to the very people she represents.
People who took an adjustable rate mortgage when the mortgage rate was at 30 year lows don't deserve to be
bailed out, the only reason they took an adjustable rate was because they didn't qualify for a conventional

brokers but that number is low and if you are buying a home it is your responsibility to know your monthly
payments and if you can afford that house. It is not governments responsibility. The state can use that 150 million
more wisely. According to the Chronicle St Albans and the surrounding areas are ground zero for the crisis.

Eric fails to mention John McCain"s record on immigration, he is an open borders man. He is one of the most
liberal Republicans in the Senate and sides frequently with the Democrats on social issues. He is not for me. LP
